Meditation Class Description
Physicians in the United States estimate that up to 90% of their patients' ailments have a stress or anxiety related component to it.
Mordy guides you through the causes of many of our undesirable states of mind (eg anxiety, anger, jealousy, fear) and how meditation works to relieve it.
Many of these states of mind make it difficult to enjoy life, and can also create physical illness. Meditation is a proven solution for financial, psychological, or any kind of daily anxiety or stress.
Session 1 (90 minutes) - Learn two meditation techniques - a basic sitting meditation and an invaluable technique called "In the Moment" meditation for the moment that you feel your stress.
Both meditation techniques are taught so that students can use them on their own. They are invaluable to ridding ourselves of these mind states, and enabling us to go forward and enjoy our lives.
Session (75 minutes) – Learn & practice walking meditation and mantra chanting meditation. Practice & review techniques from session 1.
Mordy Levine Bio
Mordy is a certified meditation instructor and is the creator of the Meditation Pro Series which teaches meditation for different conditions that affect Western civilization (e.g. stress, insomnia, weight issues, smoking, etc.).
Mordy has enjoyed teaching Yoga since 2000. He has earned Yoga Instructor certification from the United States Yoga Association. He is also certified as a Vinyasa Yoga instructor (RYT200).
Mordy holds a 2nd degree Black Belt from Shotokan Karate of America, and was an instructor for 10 years in New York City.
He enjoys teaching Yoga & Meditation to children, adults and senior citizens all over the world. He teaches those with illness and with health.
He also leads seminars in corporate environments so both employee and employers can learn to work and live happier lives.
His appreciation and respect for the Eastern tradition is his motivation for teaching others. He enjoys teaching a safe, inspirational and challenging yoga class for all levels of students.
He strives to provide students with the practical knowledge and meditation tools that can lead them to a happier state of mind and reduced stress in their daily life.
